What is walking football? Walking football is a minimal contact sport, no tackling with head height restrictions and no running.

Brackley Town currently offer walking football sessions for the over 50s on Tuesday and Friday mornings from 10.30am to 11.30am.We appreciate that for a number of people these times are not ideal for those who either still work or can’t get away during the day.

We have therefore decided to offer a separate session on Sunday mornings from 11am to 12midday for anyone over 40. If your not sure if walking football is for you,  please read on before making a decision.

Walking football is a route back into the beautiful game that maybe you thought you’d never play again when you packed in all those years ago or maybe you’ve decided that you need to get fit or maybe it’s just company and the social side that appeal to you, walking football can give you all the above. Please follow this link Brackley Town Senior Saints walking football club to an interview given by Mark Craddock who runs our Tuesday and Friday sessions.

From a personal perspective I’ve been playing walking football since I was 57, I’ve made lots of new mates, Although it’s walking football I get a sweat on and I’m fitter than I’ve been for 30 years……come on give it a go, you’ve got nothing to lose. Cost £4.00 per session.

Permitted Footwear

Book your sessions Sept to Oct 2023
